His work in the U.S. has seen him hold key positions at top medical institutions, including the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), where he has been deeply involved in clinical practice, medical education, and research. His dedication to improving surgical outcomes for children and advocating for evidence-based medicine has made him a respected figure in the medical community.
In addition to his clinical expertise, Dr. Shekherdimian is renowned for his efforts in global health, particularly his focus on addressing disparities in surgical care across different regions. Dr. Shekherdimian has long been committed to advancing healthcare in Armenia, working tirelessly to elevate medical standards and bring innovative solutions to the region. He notably was an advisor to the Minister of Health of Armenia Anahit Avanesyan for two years between 2021 and 2023.
