Our CEO Dr Robin Vicken Ohannessian MD MPH PhD had the great honour to meet with Garo Armen, the co-founder and CEO of NASDAQ-listed Agenus US-based biotechnology company and learn from his great experience in health innovation.
Agenus is notably developing immunology therapies in oncology with several products currently undergoing clinical trials including their flagship program botensilimab/balstilimab (BOT/BAL), with a Phase 2 clinical trial started in Armenia in 2024.
Apart from his role at Agenus, Garo Armen is also doing amazing work for decades to help develop rural communities in Armenia through Children of Armenia Fund (COAF) focusing on education, healthcare, and economic development. They recently inaugurated a primary care center in a remote region of the country that is piloting an innovative quality care program in partnership with the Ministry of Health.
