Telemedicine for prisons in Armenia

Prison telemedicine program of Armenia kicks off

Our CEO conducted a national training with Council of Europe and Ministry of Health to start telemedicine in prisons in Armenia.

Our CEO, Dr Robin Vicken Ohannessian MD MPH PhD, recently led a national training session on 8-9 July 2024, organized by the Council of Europe, to advance penitentiary telemedicine in Armenia.

During the training, key topics such as teleconsultation and tele-expertise best practices, ethical approach to telemedicine, project management and clinical case management were provided alongside simulation scenarii.

The Penitentiary Medicine Center (PMC) will work with civil hospitals of the Ministry of Health to better take care of patients needs, signing protocols of cooperation to improve healthcare access.

We are excited about this initiative and proud of our CEO’s involvement in driving such impactful changes.
